Cadillac CUE, a comprehensive in-vehicle experience that merges intuitive design with auto industry-first controls and commands for information and entertainment data, will benefit consumers by offering safe, connected driving beginning in September 2012.
CUE blends first-of-its-kind technology with highly intelligent design, bringing the intuitive control of smart phones and tablets safely to the road. With a clean, uncluttered design, natural voice recognition, and responsive touch screen technology, CUE creates an experience that’s as effortless as it is advanced.
Debuting in 2012 on the 2013 Cadillac XTS and ATS luxury sedans and the SRX luxury crossover, CUE is designed to be unique for each driver. For the tech-savvy, it’s everything you want it to be—a full suite of infotainment, navigation and communication tools that keeps you fully connected. But you don’t have to be a technophile to appreciate it. CUE is remarkably simple, intuitive and accessible.
The result is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
CUE doesn’t replace your smartphone or iPod®. Rather, it seamlessly integrates them with your vehicle controls. Entertainment, navigation and communication are all available in one remarkably intuitive interface. It’s so advanced, it even senses your presence and provides tactile feedback from its brilliant touch screen, allowing you to keep your eyes safely on the road.
The heart of CUE is the 8-inch LCD touch screen, seamlessly integrated into the top of the instrument panel. The vibrant LCD screen displays CUE’s home page, which resembles a smart phone screen by using large, easy-to-target icons to execute commands.
CUE is a highly advanced in-vehicle hub for all the information and entertainment in your life. CUE’s controls function to create a look that is unmistakably Cadillac—vibrant colors, a piano-black faceplate, precision milled buttons, intuitive touch screen placement and a sculpted front console. All working together to create an impressive, modern design.
To improve simplicity and connectivity for consumers, CUE will feature several auto industry firsts:
CUE seamlessly connects you to a world of content. Its available 3-D GPS navigation system. It accesses every contact and song on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone. It reads text messages aloud. With downloadable custom apps, its content possibilities are endless. With CUE, you are always connected.
CUE starts with a clean, uncluttered design. From there, intuition takes over. Spread your fingers to zoom in closer on a map. Swipe to breeze through your music. Program the homepage to keep your favorites front and center. With fewer buttons and more intelligent controls, CUE also offers natural voice recognition, allowing you to effortlessly place phone calls and play music.
Proximity-sensing technology detects your hand as it approaches the 8-inch LCD touch screen. When an icon is pressed, the screen pulses to acknowledge the command, keeping your eyes safely on the road. Even the gauge cluster is reconfigurable, offering four display layouts that mix vehicle data, such as a speedometer and fuel gauge, with navigation, entertainment and 3-D vehicle image.
